The following is a list of standing committees that plan, organize and implement key ministries within our church. If you are interested in joining any of the committees, please contact office@churchinthehills.org:

  • Building and Grounds: Responsible for the care, maintenance, and improvements for all aspects of the physical church building and surrounding grounds.

  • Christian Education: Works with our congregation teaching children about the ministry of Jesus Christ and helping adults deepen their understanding and relationship with our triune God.

  • Finance: Active in review of finances and procedures, to provide oversight in financial matters, and to suggest more effective methods of fiscal operations.

  • Membership: Discusses the growth, nurturing and sustainability of church membership as well as organizes membership classes and outreach.

  • Mission: Charged with looking for local, national, and international ministry opportunities for the congregation, both hands-on and through financial donations.

  • Personnel: The committee work with employees to assure hiring practices meet church guidelines as well as preforming annual reviews along with recommending to finance committee wage adjustments.

  • Worship and Music committee: Plans worship services with the Pastor and the Music Director. They schedule Liturgists, Video Techs, Ushers and Pulpit Supply Pastors. They are responsible for flowers, changing the Paraments and banners. The committee is also responsible for Worship expenditures and planning additional services through the year.

  • Deacons: The Deacons serve the congregation with compassion and service with a special emphasis on their flocks.  Throughout the year, they offer fellowship by hosting luncheons and other social events. Two of those luncheons are Welcome Home Snowbirds and Reformation Sunday.  After funerals or memorial services, the Deacons offer meals so the families may enjoy with friends and family.

Additional ways for you to get involved at Church In The Hills can include serving on the Agape Guild (Serve Communion), Security Task Force, Greeter, Usher, Live Stream Technology Team, Choir and provide flowers for the Communion Table.
